▌Link Taichung to the World: World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (WTCC) visited INGO center.
昨(17)日世界臺灣商會聯合總會總會長林貴香、監事長許明芳、副總會長劉美姬、及秘書長林鋕銘來訪國際NGO中心，聽取專案辦公室的簡報外，還品嘗園區青年做的冰品與愛玉，讚聲連連！實地走訪，總會長一行返回市府拜會張光瑤副市長。
▌President of the WTCC, Kico Lin, Chief Supervisor of the WTCC, Aki Hsu, Vice President of the WTCC, Diana M.C, Jost-Liu, and Secretary General of WTCC, John Lin, came to INGO center on July 17th. They not only listened to the presentation of the INGO Center but also tasted aiyu jelly and shaved ice made by the young entrepreneur in the village.
Later on, they headed back to the Taichung City Hall to meet the deputy Mayor, Mr. Chang.
臺中市政府國際事務委員會董思齊執行長對世界臺商總會的到來歡迎表示，發展國際NGO中心是讓臺中邁向國際化城市的重要基石。此外，發展國際NGO中心也提供青年大量就業機會；以美國舉例，NGO已是美國第二大的就業市場。
▌The Executive Director of Taichung City Government International Affairs Commission, Sy-Chi, Doong, welcomed WTCC for coming to the INGO center. He believed that developing the INGO center is a cornerstone for Taichung to become an international city. Moreover, the establishment of the INGO center can also increase employment opportunities for young adults. For example, in the United States, NGOs have become the second largest employment market.
對於NGO領域，世界臺灣商會聯合總會亦是十分熟悉。聯合總會於2009年於紐約成立 STUF United Fund 世台聯合基金會，主要關注議題為人道救援、教育、公共醫療、及環境保育等。基金會透過與NGO、NPO、政府部門合作，希望創造永續改變(Sustainable changes)，讓世界更美好。現基金會的慈善項目足跡已遍布五大洲、25個國家；相信今後的為善之旅將繼續下去。

▌Japan Bousaisi Organization visited INGO Center: Deepen the Interaction with Taichung City in terms of Disaster Precautious
今(17)日本防災士全國總會理事長浦野修一行五人來訪臺中國際NGO中心，聽取中心簡報及實地走訪，對於INGO中心留下深刻的印象，未來將有更多國際連結活動。
▌Today Chairman of Japan Bousaisi Organization, 浦野修, and his crew visited INGO Center. After they listened to the oral presentation of the introduction of INGO Center, they had a walk around it, saying they would love to have more international events with Taichung, Taiwan.
臺中國際NGO中心在規劃之初，即以「災害人道救援」、「民主人權」、「永續發展」、「公衛醫療」及「社會福利」等五大領域為主要目標。光復新村因曾為九二一地震區，且鄰近九二一地震園區，非常適合當做災害人道救援組織的訓練基地。而日本之地理位置及自然環境與臺灣有許多相似之處，亦同屬人口稠密但天然災害頻繁發生之地區，日本的城市災害防救體系，特別是市民社會所發起的「防災士」制度，有值得臺中市參考借鑑之處。
▌Initially, INGO Center focuses on the following five topics: “Humanitarian Disaster Relief”, “Democracy and Human Right”, “Sustainable Development”, “Public Health Advancement and Medical Service”, and “Social Welfare”. Because Guang-Fu Village is next to 921 Earthquake Park, it is a great location for disaster relief drill and training. Regarding geographic location and environment, Japan and Taiwan have many similarities. We are both high-populated yet frequently stricken by natural disasters. Japan’s Bousaisi Disaster Relief System founded by ordinary citizens is a great example for Taichung City to reflect on.
浦野修理事長表示「在救災援助的層面上，我們不單單只需要政府的力量；民間的力量也相當重要的。如何讓民間救助力量更加茁壯，希望未來能與臺灣有更多人道救援經驗交流，互助成長。」
▌浦野修, the Chairman of Japan Bousaisi Organization, said, “ When it comes to disaster relief, not only do we need the authority of the government, but also the strength of the society. How to strengthen the emergency skills of the ordinary is a key issue. We anticipate that in the future, more interaction and experiences sharing between Taiwan and Japan can benefit the two countries.

【GEEP參訪團至INGO中心參訪】▐ Global Environmental Education Program (GEEP) visiting INGO Center

Global Environmental Education Program (GEEP) 參訪團的20位外賓於6月1日下午4點抵達INGO中心進行參訪。GEEP是致力於提倡「環境教育」的組織，由美國國家環境保護局 (Environment Protection Agency)、行政院環境保護署、北美環境教育協會(North American Association for Environmental Education)於2014年共同創立。
▐ 20 foreign guests of GEEP arrived INGO center at 4pm on Jun, first, 2018. GEEP is a program committed to promoting “Environmental Education”, and was founded by United States Environment Protection Agency, Environmental Protection Administration Executive Yuan, R.O.C, and North American Association for Environmental Education in 2014.
此次來臺參訪團有來自澳洲、印度、日本、博茨瓦納、俄羅斯、美國、愛爾蘭、越南、馬來西亞等多達12國的貴賓；其中有聯合國(United Nations)環境規劃署代表、北美環境教育協會執行董事Judy Braus、俄羅斯康奈爾大學教授Alex Kudryavtsev等等。
▐ Guests are from 12 countries, including Australia, India, Japan, Botswana, Russia, U.S., Ireland, Vietnam and Malaysia; among whom are representative of United Nations(UN), Executive Director of North American Association for Environmental Education, Judy Braus, and professor Alex Kudryavtsev from Cornell University.
參訪團們對於INGO中心的運作模式、經營模式有高度興趣與關注，期待未來與INGO中心有更多的交流與合作機會。

美國NGO青年領袖訪問團與含外交部隨行人員共8人，於今(26)日拜會臺中市政府林依瑩副市長，一方面參觀臺中市政發展，另一方面也希望瞭解臺中市對國際NGO中心的相關規劃。本團係由臺灣駐美代表處及辦事處共同推薦籌組，團長為Olivia Johnson，團員為來自美國各地具影響力之「非政府組織」(Non-Governmental Organization, NGO)，均為45歲以下具政治發展潛力之人士，且均未曾訪臺。
