Hello, everyone, good afternoon!
First of all, on behalf of Taichung City Government, I welcome you here in INGO Center. “Building INGO Center and thus enhance Taiwan’s international competitiveness!” is always an idea Mayor Lin Chia-lung tries to promote.
Since Taichung is the second largest as well as the most livable city ranked by CNN in Taiwan, Mayor Lin Chia-lung has the intention of making Taichung a global city. I believe that you have felt the warmth and hospitality of Taichung, and can understand why it’s very livable.
The devotion and the sacrifice Taiwanese NGOs made has been noticed and affirmed internationally in recent years. Therefore, by assisting Taiwanese NGOs to go globally, Taichung City government hopes to attract foreign NGOs to Taichung at the same time, strengthening Taichung’s diplomatic power.
As the platform that leads the foreign and domestic NGOs together, INGO are focusing on the following five topics: Democracy and Human Rights, Public Health and Medical, Social welfares, Sustainable Development, and Humanitarian Aid. INGO welcomes all the NGOs related to the five topics to station here. Currently, we have ISAR (International Search and Rescue Germany) and BRH (The German Search and Rescue Dog Association) set their branch offices here.
We are looking forward to seeing Taichung become a global city, and draw more vigorous energy coming from our foreign friends; let the world see Taichung. Hope you like Taichung, and would visit Taichung again!
